BISP Launches Digital Payments via EasyPaisa, JazzCash, and HBL Konnect

The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has taken a major step toward digital transformation, allowing beneficiaries to receive Kafalat payments and education stipends directly through mobile wallets such as EasyPaisa, JazzCash, HBL Konnect, and other partner bank apps.

This initiative eliminates the need for cash collection from banks or agents, ensuring security, transparency, and faster access to funds. Millions of low-income women across Pakistan can now enjoy seamless transactions directly on their mobile phones, marking a new era of financial inclusion.

How Beneficiaries Can Access Payments

BISP beneficiaries will have digital wallets opened via partner banks in their districts. Payments will be credited directly to these wallets, allowing easy withdrawal or digital transactions.

Requirements for Beneficiaries:

  • Valid CNIC issued by NADRA
  • Mobile phone with an active SIM in the beneficiary’s name
  • Registration verified in official BISP records

⚠ Payments will not be issued to SIMs registered under another person’s name to prevent fraud.

Benefits of the Digital Wallet Initiative

This move toward digital payments is expected to make BISP transactions more efficient, transparent, and secure. Key advantages include:

  • Faster and secure fund transfers
  • No middlemen or unauthorized deductions
  • Reduced waiting times and easier access to funds

Rollout and Future Plans

The digital wallet rollout will occur in phases:

  • Some districts have already begun wallet setup
  • Others will receive notifications via 8171 SMS, BISP offices, or partner banks

Beneficiaries are advised to verify eligibility and survey completion through the official BISP website or the 8171 portal to avoid fraud.

Upcoming Stipend Increase

Reports indicate a potential increase in stipends from January 2026:

  • Kafalat Program: +Rs. 1,000
  • Education Stipend: +Rs. 500

Official confirmation is still pending.

The BISP digital wallet system represents a transformative step in modernizing Pakistan’s welfare infrastructure, ensuring beneficiaries receive funds safely, transparently, and with dignity.
